The ‘Energy Revolution: Adani Green Energy Gallery’ will showcase contemporary and historical objects, interactive digital exhibits and commissioned models from the UK and abroad. The gallery will show how the past, present and future are shaped by human imagination and innovation and explore the role of humans in deciding our energy future.
Earlier speaking at the inauguration of the gallery, Gautam Adani said, “This new gallery is about much more than just clean air – or moving away from oil and gas. It is about energy transition We need it – this world needs it – and it’s about the revolution that’s happening in the energy world.”
Adani said, “This gallery is special because it makes us think, dream and desire change. It shows us how our world, our economy and our own lives can change for the better.”
The gallery of the Science Museum will have three sections.
In the ‘Future Planet’ section, visitors can explore how scientists use complex computer-based models to understand our planet, and what these tell us about the range of climate futures that may occur.
In the ‘Energy of the Future’ section, technologies – and the people behind them – that are reimagining how energy is supplied and used are highlighted with historical artefacts that illustrate a transition away from fossil fuels. Provide a long view.
The ‘Our Future’ section looks at a new world being dreamed up, showcasing children’s creative ideas about how the world will meet its future energy needs, with expert responses to them.

The Energy Revolution was designed by award-winning architects, Unknown Works. A key element of the sustainable design was the re-use of redundant shelves from the Science Museum’s former object store. The gallery’s carbon footprint has been monitored, and recyclable aluminum was used where possible.
